Nature, purpose and scope of our engagement
Evidence of source of funds, where needed

We will collect the personal information directly from our clients and/or the persons authorised by clients and they must ensure that the information provided to us is accurate and correct. Your personal information may also be collected from publicly available sources to enable us to undertake customer due diligence or provide our services to you.

There will be instances where we may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties in order to provide our legal services to you and/or meet our statutory obligations. They may include, without limitation:

New Zealand Courts and tribunals
Government or regulatory agencies
Law enforcement agencies
Our bank with whom we have our trust account
Organisations that assist us establish, confirm or verify your identity
Agencies that help identify illegal activities and fraud prevention

We will otherwise ensure that your personal information is kept secure. You can access your information that we may have and can request it to be corrected or updated where needed.
